UE Compression is looking for an oil/gas experienced Field Service Technician!

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a strong personal commitment to our safety culture (first and foremost)
  • Set-up and start-up UECompression- supplied machinery with both air and gas compression systems
  • Perform diagnostic, testing and service of equipment both in the service shop and in the field
  • Train customers as needed to ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Perform repairs on other types of industrial equipment, such as pumps and blowers, upon request
  • Complete field reports and time sheets
  • Communicate job-related problems and customer concerns to the service support team
  • Maintain company vehicle in great working order

Requirements

  • Safety focused -- able to safely use hand and power tools, as well as your PPE
  • Own a basic mechanic's tool set
  • Learn quickly; fully participate in hands-on training and subsequent evaluation
  • Self-starter, self-motivated
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and direction (a must-have)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Experienced in technical documentation
  • Pride yourself on being a true professional and a respectful team player
  • Diplomatically communicate with customers (external and internal)
  • Experience using and reading schematics
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Time management and priority setting skills
  • Proactive in work and can prove success in identifying technical issues, learn from them and implement forward
  • Travel for work, overnight travel (up to 65% travel domestically) or daily travel to local customer sites
  • Adaptable, committed, accountable and always looking to learn something new
  • Must possess a high school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have familiarity with compression and combustion engines, knowledge of Ariel, Cameron and Gardner Denver compressors and blowers or medium voltage electrical/arc flash training
  • Have exposure to automotive engines, natural gas engines, compression or process and instrumentation industries
  • A plus: Have specific training (for example: forklift, aerial lifts, scissor lift/scaffolding)

Travel

  • Frequent daily travel is required, as well as occasional overnight travel of varying duration
