Description

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to add to our awesome, safety-focused Quality Control/Assurance Team!  This role is involved in the entire inspection process from pre-job document review, first article and in process inspections to final inspections, and is responsible for hands-on inspection for all work completed in our Production shop and in the field. If that sounds right up your alley keep on reading! We are a great company to work for and situated conveniently in Henderson, CO. 

What you will spend your time doing:

  • Performing all work with a strong commitment to safety and quality (first and foremost), whether onsite in our Production shop, or offsite at customer and supplier locations
  • Performing visual inspections of all work completed in our Production shop
  • Reading, interpreting and following construction codes for pressure vessels, piping and skid fabrication (ASME, AWS, API, etc.)
  • Ensuring our Production employees and suppliers are adhering to codes, procedures and company standards onsite and offsite
  • Training our Production employees on codes, standards and procedures as needed
  • Monitoring Welder Performance Qualifications
  • Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, customer specifications, welding symbols and all other quality related documentation
  • Reading, writing and following already existing company procedures
  • Reviewing set procedures before projects begin; keeping accurate and up to date records of all completed inspections
  • Liaising with and managing NDE (Non Destructive Examination) contractors; scheduling work and reviewing work performed for accuracy
  • Managing NCR (Non-Conformance Report) system; writing, monitoring and closing NCRs in a timely manner
  • Inspecting incoming materials
  • Working with/escorting visiting customers and inspectors on relevant projects
  • Completing computer based training as required

This role is for you if you:

  • Are safety focused and properly use your PPE
  • Have a current Certified Welding Inspector or Visual Test Level II certification
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in welding inspection; bonus points if that inspection time was spent in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Can pass a visual acuity test annually
  • Have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Have advanced proficiency with precision measuring tools (tape measurer, caliper, micrometer, etc.)
  • Have a valid Colorado driver’s license with a good motor vehicle record (this is required)
  • Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
  • Are able to work a flexible schedule from time to time, that includes overtime and travel (up to 20% local, national and international travel)
  • Are adaptable, committed and accountable
  • Are a strong critical thinker and problem solving ninja
  • Are a strong and direct communicator that readily teaches and trains others

To ensure you can do the job safely, we have some minimum physical demands requirements:

  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Squat, bend or stoop
  • Push, pull and overhead reach
